How to get there

Reaching the Waikiki Shell is easy, whether you’re driving, taking public transportation, or walking from nearby Waikiki hotels. Here’s everything you need to know:

Its full address is: Kapiolani Park, at 2805 Monsarrat Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815.

Public transport

Honolulu’s public bus system, TheBus, offers several routes that stop near the amphitheater. Catch routes 2, 8, 13, or 23, which stop close to Kapiolani Park and Waikiki Beach – both are just a few minutes from the amphitheater. The bus fare is $3 per ride, or you can use the HOLO Card for unlimited day passes.

By car

If you plan to drive, it’s recommended to leave enough time to find a parking space, so you don’t miss any of the performance! Parking is free but limited within the park, and spots fill up quickly on event nights. There is also additional street parking available along Kalakaua Avenue and Monsarrat Avenue – check for signs regarding restrictions. Paid parking garages are available at hotels and shopping centers in Waikiki, such as the Honolulu Zoo parking lot (right next to the venue, with a small fee).

Biking and rideshare

Biki Bikes, Honolulu’s bike-sharing program, has multiple stations near the Waikiki Shell. A fun and eco-friendly way to get there!

Uber & Lyft are widely available, with drop-off zones along Monsarrat Ave and Kapahulu Ave.

Walking

If you’re staying in Waikiki, walking is the best option for getting around. It is within a 10-20-minute walk from most hotels, and a stroll through Kapiolani Park is a beautiful way to start your night.

No matter how you arrive, plan ahead. Parking fills up quickly and Waikiki traffic can become congested, especially before a big event.
