Kehlani has always been driven and determined to chase her dreams without ever settling for less. She kicked off her career in 2011 as the lead vocalist for a band called PopLyfe which took her around the world with tours. Kehlani’s debut mixtape “Cloud 19” was listed as one of complexes 50 best albums of 2014 and in 2015 she released “You Should Be Here” which entered the Billboard 200 and received Gold Certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, as well as being nominated for best Urban Contemporary album at the 58th annual Grammy Awards.

She then went on to tour for “You Should Be Here” and it sold out every single North American tour date as well as select European dates. Kehlani then collaborated with Zayn on the single “Gangsta” in 2016 which was featured on the soundtrack in the hit movie Suicide Squad. In 2019 her third mixtape titled “While we wait” was released and was in the top 200 and had sold over thirty four thousand album equivalent units in its first week of being released.

At the end of 2019 Kehlani collaborated with Zedd for the single “Good Thing” which has received over two hundred million streams. In 2021 she revealed the teaser for “Blue Water Road” which is her third studio album and when released in 2022 it quickly gained popularity. In 2023 she was the headliner for concert performances at the 2023 WNBA All Star Games and the MLS All Star Games.
